About Rachel

My name is Rachel Anderson, and I am a native Memphian with a strong passion to help others in their personal and professional development. I graduated from the University of Memphis with a BA in Psychology, BPS in Human Services, and MPS in Training and Development. I have always had a fascination of technology, visual arts, and learning thus creating the love that I have for designing impactful training using a variety of mediums for optimal learning retention.

I currently reside in Memphis, TN working at ALSAC/St. Jude Children's Research Hospital as a Senior Organization Development Specialist. When I'm not working, I am taking long strolls at my favorite park, studying a new book on my Kindle, patronizing Starbucks as I complete design projects while simultaneously supporting my coffee addiction, volunteering my design skills for STS Enterprise, or trying a new recipe that I hope I nailed on the first try.

About Aiming for More

As a instructional designer, I believe that my role is to push people to aim for more. What this means is that I am encouraging others to not be okay with just "good enough". To break out of the "well that's how we've always done it". Training is about change. If no change occurs after a class whether it's behavioral change or change in perspective and belief, then that class was a waste of time. I want the participants that attend courses that I create to feel that at the end of that class they WANT to aim for more. They want to learn more. They want to do things differently for more effective results. They've gain a more detailed vision of different perspectives.

Aiming for More is about never settling in just being good enough. It's about being that lifelong learner to always want to evolve and change for the better not only for yourself, but for others that rely on you as well. If you want to stay relevant in this day and age, you have to embrace change and with learning comes change. This site describes how I'm aiming for more to learn more, design more and serve more. My aim for more is to overall challenge myself to be a better version of me with every day that passes. I invite you to join me in doing the same.
